Spring Hill, Summit advance to semis

The stage has been set for Tuesday’s semifinal round of the District 12-AA volleyball tournament.
Third-seeded Spring Hill and fourth-seeded Summit produced quarterfinal round wins along with top-seeded Page and second-seeded Hickman County.
In Tuesday’s quarterfinals at Centerville, the Lady Spartans will face the Lady Patriots at 5 p.m., while the Lady Raiders will tangle with the Lady Bulldogs at 7 p.m.
Spring Hill 3, Fairview 0: The Lady Raiders commanded a 25-11, 25-17, 25-16 win over the visiting Yellowjackets.
Desirae Skelly stepped up for Spring Hill, scoring 16 points and recording a dozen assists. She also had six aces and a kill.
Abrianna Jones again dominated the net area for the Lady Raiders with 18 kills and four blocks, while scoring five points including an ace. Kelsey Sanders recorded 10 points (two aces), a kill and blocked three shots for the Lady Raiders.
Also for Spring Hill, Shelby Caperton recording 20 assists with five points, while Sydney McFarlin had four points (two aces), five kills and a block. Angelina Martinez had three points (two aces) and four assists.
