Spring Hill 3, Giles County 0: The Lady Raiders locked up the third seed in next week’s District 12-AA Tournament with a 25-15, 25-17, 25-8 win over the Lady Bobcats Thursday.

Desirae Skelly had 12 points, four aces and four assists to lead Spring Hill (12-5, 10-4) with Kelsey Sanders adding 19 points, nine aces, five kills and an assist. Shelby Caperton added nine assists and seven points, while Abrianna Jones supplied nine kills, two points and two aces.

The Lady Raiders will face Fairview in the district quarterfinals at 6 p.m. Monday at E.A. Cox Middle School.

— Spring Hill’s junior varsity team also earned a 20-25, 25-23, 15-7 win over Giles County. Karless Sanders led the way with 13 points and four aces, while Zahirya Parham added eight points, four assists and two kills.

SUMMERTOWN — Spring Hill battled perennial Class A power Summertown Monday to five games before losing to the Eagles.

The Lady Raiders won the first game 25-23, then lost 25-15, 25-17 before evening the match with a 25-20 win. The deciding game carried into extra time before the Lady Eagles reigned with a 17-15 score.

Angelina Martinez (14 points, three kills, three blocks), Abrianna Jones (eight points, 17 kills, block), Desirae Skelley (eight points, 13 assists) and Kelsey Sanders (five points, three aces, six kills, 15 blocks) led the Spring Hill bid.

— Spring Hill won the JV match 2-1, winning the first game 25-15 and the last one 15-8. Summertown won the second game 27-25. Raeanne Robinson led Spring Hill with 17 points, five aces and three kills. Madysen Luzzo had 11 assists and Lauren Meksayo had 11 points.
